Training Programs
Any security-related program is likely to be only as effective as the operational and administrative abilities of those persons responsible for the managing, administrating, monitoring, supervising and implementing of the program. Those who are new to any of these program requirements often need training in order to achieve the necessary standard of proficiency. Training is the acquisition of knowledge and skills that produce a level of competency required to effectively perform the current tasks associated to the program function. Training includes both functional activities and those certifications generally required by legislation. Development is the improvement of knowledge, skills and abilities to attain the level of competency required to perform future tasks. This development includes such areas as leadership, supervision and management as the organization prepares its people for more challenging program-related positions.
