Security at special events presents unique challenges and security concerns. 3Si team members first participated in special event security at the 1976 Olympics in Montreal. Since that time 3Si team members have been involved in planning, managing and participating in large-scale event security with the most recent event being the 2010 Winter Olympics held in Vancouver, British Columbia. 3Si team members have had the opportunity of participating both in police and corporate security roles, thus providing a unique understanding and appreciation for the roles that public and private security play in major events. 3Si methodologies, which are based on sound threat and risk assessments, contribute to ensuring stakeholder safety and security.
