Forensic Audits

In any architectural development, there are conditions or environmental influences that should be considered in the design. When considering community safety and security in relation to a particular gated community, residential development, office development, or other architectural projects, there are information sources available for review that provide an understanding of the unique characteristics that can influence crime activity and unwanted behaviour.

Certain features should be included in the development design, based on known safety and security considerations, to mitigate associated vulnerabilities. It can be determined if there has been a systematic consideration of information sources, available at the time of design, in the security features that have been included in the development, both at the design and construction phases. Additionally, property management practices in on-going security assessment and program adjustment can be evaluated for the same purpose. Inconsistencies found at any of these levels can be evaluated and reported to relevant stakeholders and, when necessary, through expert opinion in court.

Forensic Examinations

In security breaches or crime scenes where there is a question of method of entry to the building, operational condition of alarm or access control systems, condition of security safes or vaults, or any other question about the integrity of the security at the scene, 3Si security experts are experienced in providing crime scene examination and expert testimony in court.

Security Investigations

Security incidents that occur in corporations or government agencies are, at times, caused by persons/groups engaged in criminal or espionage (political and/or economic) activities. 3Si has experience in determining the nature of the incident, associated losses, possible parties involved and recommending appropriate mitigation measures that could be implemented to prevent a continuance of the current and potential future activities.
